About Me

I love the challenge of making the interface between man and computer a smooth, pleasurable and effective experience. Is that a job?

Lucky for me, it is!

Over the years, one theme has stayed consistent: I love taking something complicated and making it feel simple, clear, and genuinely pleasant to use. I’m happiest when I’m untangling a problem, spotting patterns, and learning something new along the way.

I started out with a Physics degree and roles across cloud computing, government, and a graduate programme at Ford. Eventually, it became obvious what I was gravitating towards all along: user-centred design. Even in my earlier work, I was always asking the same questions — how do people really work, what’s frustrating them, and how can we make this smoother? Working directly with clients on cloud requirements gave me a front-row seat to human behaviour and decision-making. In operational roles, I naturally ended up auditing processes, improving systems, and building digital tools that made work more accurate and efficient — freeing people up to focus on the parts of their job that actually mattered.

Design is where all of that comes together for me. I love the full process: talking to users, digging into data, sketching and prototyping, testing ideas quickly, and polishing the details until the experience feels effortless. It’s the mix of empathy, logic, and craft that keeps me hooked.

Outside of work, I’m much the same: curious, hands-on, and always trying something new. My house is proof — there’s everything from a saxophone and drum kit to boxing gloves, bikes, camera gear, half-built computers, and climbing shoes that definitely deserve more attention. Recently, videography/ drones have stolen my attention. That curiosity carries into my design practice too. I’ve studied coding, read widely on product and UX, and I’m always exploring new methods and technologies that can make experiences better.

If you’re looking for someone who can bring clarity to complex problems — and do it with care for both the user and the details — I’d love to chat.
